This PAIRS Professional Training event will prepare VA Chaplains and Social Workers to deliver PAIRS marriage enrichment retreats at their own VA facilities across the nation. This program will equip instructors to empower combat veterans with visible and invisible wounds, and their families, with practical tools to create, nurture, restore, and rekindle relationships through the application of acquired skills and knowledge.
In this intensive, four-day, experiential training, the VA Chaplains and Social Workers being trained will discover immediately usable skills that facilitate expanded communication, deepen empathy, bonding and attachment, promote constructive conflict resolution, and enhance emotional understanding, expression, connection and forgiveness which can in turn be applied in the family relationships of combat veterans.
Training sessions will take place at the Charlie Norwood VA Medical Center, Up Town Division at 1 Freedom Way, Room 3B 125 Education Wing, Augusta, Georgia 30904-6285. (Click here for map.)
